Around India In 80 Trains

This set covers the temple-stretch we made across Tamil Nadu, starting at the gaudy and rather unnerving looking statues at Madurai's Meenakshi Temple. From Trichy, the three smiley men kept us constantly posted on our train journey to Tanjavur where we visited the stunning Brihadeeshwara temple before sunrise along with young Abhinaya and her enormous group of family and friends.

And Nagapattinam, a tiny fishing town where my family have roots, was the last on the stop - full of rays, flatfish and friendly faces.
