India is renowned for corruption and it has almost become a part of normal life to grease palms and pay bribes to everyone and anyone to get even the simplest of things done. One area where bribery is rife, is in paying for train tickets. Many travellers with RAC or WL tickets have reported being asked to pay off the ticket inspector for a confirmed berth which is something that needs to be stopped.

A new website called I Paid A Bribe has been set up by two Indians intent on putting a stop to the people who exploit others, where you can report when and where you had to pay a bribe, or document who demanded the bribe.
