Hotel Oasis is barely a five-minute walk to Victoria Terminus and in the centre of Colaba Causeway which makes it the perfect place to dump bags, shower and then head out into the city. If your travelling companion is getting on your nerves then book two rooms as the rooms are so tiny you'll practically have to climb on one another to move around.

Each room is clean, the sheets less grubby than most budget joints and there's a TV with cable that residents will often watch at full volume. This is one of the few cheap hotels to offer constant hot water and decent showers, and the staff are super-friendly and helpful.

Other benefits include the location as it's slap bang in the middle of Colaba and there are plenty of bars and restaurants dotted around. Especially the Sher-e-Punjab, just up the road.
